We briefly mentioned SCHOOL DISCOS on our children’s disco page these can be quite different from parties at the weekend so think it deserves its own special page.
SCHOOL DISCOS
With most school discos being in the week the children have been sitting down all day studying and now its time for them to let off steam but this is done in a friendly controlled manner, that’s where the experience of the GM team comes into being not only do we entertain the children but also introduce games and contests that allows energy to be directed. Gently encouraging even the most timid to take part.
So that everyone remembers the GM discos for the right reason the featured games and contests take into consideration several different points, the possible larger numbers that may be attending and the age group while avoiding endless time giving out prizes.
On the day our discos starts well before the play time as the GM (Groovy moves) DJ arrive early and if required will give helpful advice and suggestions to avoid potential situations. At this time any last minute requests can be made ahead of the children arriving such as Birthdays or Important announcements.
It is suggested that about 7 days before the booking any play lists are sent in by email this give us a chance to build a programme that meets your requirements.
Where there is a stage involved we suggest using this for the disco as it deters the youngsters from crowding around the equipment and allows us to take easier control.
Should it be required a break can be taken, at this point the music is played gently in the back ground before returning back to the full disco to send the children home on a high.
